Issue:

Exchange 2010 Address books stopped updating. When I run Test-Outlookwebservices, I get the following error:
WARNING: An unexpected error has occurred and a Watson dump is being generated: Failed to find the mailbox. Mailbox ='extest_42bfed03f69a4@tech.com'.

There are three option for the OAB feature:

·         Mailbox Server generate the OAB file.
·         CAS server retrieve the OAB file from the MBX Server.
·         Client download the OAB file from the CAS server.
For the OAB issue, we can perform below steps:
·         Check the time stamp for the OAB file on MBX server; Location: c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ExchangeOAB
·         Check the time stamp for the OAB file on MBX server; Location: c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB
Once we checked the servers, if the files are all up to date, the issue happens when the clients download the OAB. Try the following steps to analytic the download issue:
1. Check AutoConfiguration Status in Outlook
·         While Outlook is running, click the CTRL key and then right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and then select “Test Email Autoconfiguration”.
·         Confirm that your email address is in the address field, uncheck “Use Guessmart” and “secure Guessmart authentication” boxes. Then click the “Test” button.
·         Once it runs, check the Log tab and Results tab.
Now you have to verify does autodiscover works and a OAB url is returned?
2. Manually access the OAB url “https://www.tech.com/OAB/OABGUID/oab.xml”
