Migration Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013- Part 5

Configuring the Exchange 2013 Virtual Directories in the EAC

  1. Open Internet Explorer and enter the name of Exchange Server 2013 server in following format :https://localhost/ecp?ExchClientVer=15 ( the addition of the ?ExchangeClientVer=15 string to the ecp url. Without this string you would be redirected to the Exchange 2010 exp).
  2. Log in with an account which had membership in the “Organization Management” security group, here I’m using Administrator to log in
  3. Left click on Servers
  4. Select Virtual Directories and select the server you want to configure from drop down box and click on directory you wish to configure, enter the application URL and click Save.
  5. Repeat for all virtual directories (“autodiscover” will have to be configured through the management shell).

You can use the Exchange Management Shell
Step 3: Use the following commands to configure each URL (replace “mail.tech.com with the URL to be used in your environment):

Set-ClientAccessServer –Identity CON-EX2013CAS - AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri https://autodiscover.tech.com/Autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
Set-EcpVirtualDirectory "CON-EX2013CAS\ecp (Default Web Site)" - ExternalUrl https://mail.tech.com/ecp -InternalUrl https://mail.tech.com/ecp

Set-OwaVirtualDirectory "CON-EX2013CAS\owa (Default Web Site)" - ExternalUrl https://mail.tech.com/owa -InternalUrl https://mail.tech.com/owa
